Development of Marketing Strategy in Thematic Tourism Village: Case Study at Kenep Sukoharjo Indonesia Tourism Village

Abstract


Indonesia is actively promoting the tourism sector as the support of the country's economy. The uniqueness of the countryside becomes one of the interesting attractions. Each village has tourism potential that is packed with a specific theme. This thematic tourist village that continues to clean up to be a choice of tourist destinations. Creative tourism village Kenep Sukoharjo is one example of thematic tourist village. Tourism activities in Kenep Village Sukoharjo Indonesia is managed by the group Sadar Wisata Community (Pokdarwis) and the Village Government. Kenep Sukoharjo has a fascination in the form of activities of traditional batik producers, processed traditional jenang food and karak, processed traditional herbal medicine. This tourism activity is also supported by youth group Lumbung Budoyo and all villagers Kenep Sukoharjo. Tourism village developers are still experiencing the problem of lack of knowledge about appropriate marketing methods for tourism services. The purpose of this community service activity is to expand the marketing area, improve marketing understanding through marketing method in network or outside network for creative tourism village manager Kenep Sukoharjo. Activities are conducted in stages of observation, planning and implementation of marketing and evaluation training. Implementation of training and mentoring methods marketing in the network and outside the network running smoothly. Welcome and support and spirit of participants consisting of 20 people creative tourism actor Kenep Sukoharjo. Community service activities resulted in the design of brochures, videos and website of the tourist village of Kenep. For further activities, Kenep Sukoharjo Tourism Village needs support and stimulus to improve the spirit, commitment and management of tourism service management, network expansion and website maintenance.
